My Story

Thank you for visiting my website! I'm just getting everything up and running, so thought I would chat a little bit about why I started publishing.

For a while, I was taking care of kids, and anyone who knows childcare will know that it's not always easy getting kids out the door in the morning. A bit of bribery is a good tool for quickly accomplished tasks such as getting dressed on time and putting shoes on, and my greatest power was telling stories. Usually I would dig into my foggy memory and retell the plot of a Merlin episode, but there was one week where the kids prompted me, and I made up a special story that we were all engrossed in.

It was always on my mind to write the story so the kids can keep it, and time went past. I was thrown around a bit from where I was living (not actually due to COVID, but some visa troubles!) and ended up back in my hometown, embracing the quarantine life as the rest of us have. I determined myself then to write the book and I am very happy with the results.

I sent my book to a bunch of publishers and literary agents, but received lots of no's along many quiet responses. I made the decision after some time to self-publish, because, why not? Since the book is so meaningful for me, I wanted to test the waters in self-publishing, and I came up with the Kid's Journal idea. I went through a lot of trial figuring everything out, but I love the results and can't wait to share with everyone. I realized when working on the journal that I had so many other ideas for Journals and books, so I had to dive into publishing and now here I am!

My biggest hopes for this is:

  1. To serve people with my books and journals - I want my books to be something that really adds value to people's lives, and especially with my children's book, I hope it enters the homes of many kids and that they fall in love with the characters

  2. I can establish an income in publishing - let's be honest, it would transform my life extraordinarily if my books can provide some comfort for my financially. I'm the odd one who likes to travel and see new places and try new things. Primarily, I am composer, and any extra time allowed for me to write music would let me work on so many great projects

Thank you for reading!
